High-order accurate thin layer approximations for time-domain electromagnetics, Part II: Transmission layers

چکیده
We continue the development of high-order accurate thin layer approximations for time-domain electromagnetics and focus in this paper on thin transmission layers. The thin transmission layer approximations are valid for general isotropic materials and certain classes of anisotropic materials. The models also allow the inclusion of smoothly curved layers. Both dielectric and magnetic materials can be considered. These models are non-trivial and we discuss their formulation, properties, and implementation in the context of discontinuous Galerkin methods which emerge as being particularly well suited for this family o f models. The range of validity, accuracy, and stability of the resulting schemes is demonstrated through oneand two-dimensional examples.

Determination of Resonance Frequency of Dominant and Higher Order Modes in Thin and Thick Circular Microstrip Patch Antennas with Superstrate by MWM (RESEARCH NOTE)
An accurate model named as the Modified Wolff Model (MWM) is presented as an efficient CAD tool for determination of resonant frequency of the dominant and higher order modes under the multi-layer condition in thin and thick circular microstrip patch antennas. The effects of dielectric cover on the resonant frequency obtained from MWM have been compared against the result of theoretical method ...
متن کاملThe Effects of Different Seed Layers and Growth Time on the Quality of ZnO NRs Arrays
ZnO nanorods (NRs) were synthesized using an in situ low-temperature hydrothermal method. In order to investigate the effect of different seed layers on quality of ZnO NRs arrays, alcoholic, alkaline and acidic seed solutions were deposited by spin coating on ITO-glass substrate. Experimental results revealed that the vertically ZnO NRs obtained from monoethanolamine-based seed layer is the...
متن کاملDiscontinuous Galerkin Time Domain Methods in Computational Electrodynamics: State of the Art
This text reviews the state of the art of the Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method applied to the solution of the Maxwell’s equations in Time Domain (TD). The work is divided into two parts. In the first part, the mathematical formulation of the DGTD method, together with a review and a discussion on the different ways to implement it is presented. The second part presents models and techniques t...
متن کاملIntroducing nanostructure patterns for performance enhancement in PbS colloidal quantum dot solar cells
With attention to the thin film structure of colloidal quantum dot solar cells, in this paper in order to improvement of active layer absorption of them, we have proposed the use of nanostructure pattern for enhancement of their performance. For this purpose we have presented suitable nano hemisphare patterns in colloidal quantum dot solar cells for light trapping in absorption layer. Then with...
متن کاملA Higher Order B-Splines 1-D Finite Element Analysis of Lossy Dispersive Inhomogeneous Planar Layers
In this paper we propose an accurate and fast numerical method to obtain scattering fields from lossy dispersive inhomogeneous planar layers for both TE and TM polarizations. A new method is introduced to analyze lossy Inhomogeneous Planar Layers. In this method by applying spline based Galerkin’s method of moment to scalar wave equation and imposing boundary conditions we obtain reflection and...
